The Diffrability™ brand provides AIAB programs that educate people throughout the world to understand, respect, and accept people of different backgrounds through experiential programs that result in transforming people’s judgments into celebration of the differences in others.
Diffrability™ Programs removes the “measuring stick” of judging others’ abilities as “better” or “worse” and replaces the “measuring stick” with “acknowledgement” and “celebration” of others’ abilities as a contribution to the global community.
DIFFRABILITY™ provides educational services, namely conducting and providing seminars, workshops, mentoring conferences, classes, lectures, field trips, panel discussions, one-on-one and group training in the field of accepting and promoting cultural, physical, religious, sexual orientation, geographic, mental, developmental and other differences and disabilities among individuals, and countering bias, prejudice, and discrimination, and the distribution of course material and printed materials in connection to these services described above.
This is accomplished through the DIFFRABILITY™ Diversity Training Experience, Trainer Certification Program, Workplace Consulting Program, and the K to 2 Creative Social Curriculum. In order to accomplish these goals DIFFRABILITY™ utilizes education services in the form of developing curriculum for others, educational speakers, and Social Events for Social Inclusion described below.
DIFFRABILITY™ teaches the concept of “multiple identities” supporting the accepting and promotion of cultural, physical, religious, sexual orientation, geographic, mental, developmental and other differences and disabilities among individuals, and countering bias, prejudice, and discrimination.
When an individual identifies him or herself from a multiple perspective, there is more space for finding what we have more in common with others. An example of this idea is when an Asian American singularly identifies an Asian American and meets an African American that singularly identifies as an African American. They may have difficulty connecting if they see each other in that singular way. However, upon further insight both individuals possibly can find common ground as men, husbands, fathers, sons, music lovers, art lovers, and sports fans.
DIFFRABILITY™ builds on this concept by providing educational services promoting events that provide opportunities for social inclusion through live musical performances, concerts, art exhibits, cultural exhibits, live book readings, cultural events, motivational speaker events, social entertainment events, and social sporting events. These social events for social inclusion promoting the multiple identity perspective thickens the story of how much we are alike as opposed to the singular identity approach. Social events for social inclusion are customized for each organization the AIAB works with.
